Lucia Asanache

Communications Lead

Lucia Asanache is a global communications leader working at the intersection of technology and society. As Communications Lead, she leverages her extensive expertise in reputation management, stakeholder engagement and brand building to advance the organisation's mission.

Prior to joining Renaissance Philanthropy, Lucia was the Head of Community Engagement at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, where she led initiatives that built and elevated the Institute's brand, profile and global network. Previously at Google, she led brand marketing for Grow with Google in EMEA and managed public affairs campaigns for digital skills and inclusion in Brussels.

With experience spanning communications agencies, tech corporations, public policy organisations, and global consultancies, Lucia brings exceptional cross-sector expertise to her work. Lucia holds an MA in Digital Media, Culture & Education from UCL and speaks six languages. This multilingual fluency and deep cultural awareness enable her to navigate complex global environments and build meaningful relationships across diverse stakeholder communities.

Lucia co-founded a global community for women in tech policy and frequently speaks at international forums on inclusion in technology, policy and building AI that serves human interests.

Lucia also serves as Honorary Strategic Advisor for 360, a Romanian nonprofit dedicated to fostering collaboration across education, government, and the private sector to drive social, educational, and economic innovation.
