Gerry Petrella

Gerry Petrella is a General Manager for U.S. Public Policy at Microsoft. In this role, he leads a team of policy and government relations experts focused on strategically managing Microsoft’s U.S. policy priorities. Previously, he served as Policy Director to Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer, where he played an instrumental role in negotiating major legislation including the CHIPS and Science Act and Inflation Reduction Act. During his time in the Senate, as noted by Leader Schumer, Gerry was instrumental to the passage of significant bipartisan legislation. He also serves on the board of the Information Technology Industry Council (ITI).
