Ethna Ghosh

Manager, India Partnerships

Ethna brings over a decade of experience in strategic philanthropy, social impact, and cross-sector partnerships. Her work spans strategic convening, donor engagement, and advisory for high-impact giving, with a focus on building robust philanthropic infrastructure.

She began her career as a Teach For India Fellow, teaching in under-resourced schools in Mumbai and designing community-based initiatives rooted in equity and care

At Dasra, she led the organisation’s marquee convenings across India and internationally—including the India Philanthropy Forums in London, New York, Boston, and Mumbai—while also supporting in setting up and scaling GivingPi, India’s first network for family philanthropists. She led several high-value partnerships with philanthropic families and institutions, unlocking and influencing philanthropic capital of more than ₹85 crores in a span of 3 years which earned her two Excellence Awards during her tenure.

Previously, as Director at The Foundation, she led education programmes in conflict-affected regions including Kashmir Valley and Manipur, overseeing fundraising, multi-stakeholder relationships, and on-ground implementation in complex and sensitive contexts. Her earlier roles across Hindustan Unilever, Sterlite Tech Foundation, and TotalEnergies focused on CSR strategy, programme delivery, and partnerships across education and health initiatives.

Ethna remains deeply committed to strengthening the effectiveness and integrity of the philanthropic ecosystem and is driven by the belief that meaningful change happens when communities lead and institutions listen—with humility and trust.
