About the Role
The Program Delivery Manager is a critical operational and relational role on Renaissance Philanthropy's Program Delivery team. This person ensures that our philanthropic programs run with rigor, care, and consistency, from the mechanics of grant disbursement to the quality of our relationships with program leads. Sitting within the Program Delivery function, with some overlap with our broader Operations team, the Program Delivery Manager works closely with the Director of Program Delivery and program leads to build and maintain the systems, processes, and relationships that keep our portfolio healthy and moving.
This is a role for someone who is equally comfortable building a tracking system and understanding a program’s individual needs — someone who finds meaning in the infrastructure that makes good work possible.
Total compensation for this role is $148,000-$190,000, inclusive of an automatic 5% 401K contribution and fringe benefits on a base salary of $135,000-175,000.
What You’ll Do
Program Systems & Infrastructure
Build, own, and continuously improve the operational backbone of Renaissance Philanthropy's program work — including Airtable databases, CRM configurations, program lifecycle frameworks, intake forms, and standardized document templates.
Design systems that serve multiple programs simultaneously, with enough structure to ensure consistency and enough flexibility to accommodate different program models.
Maintain data integrity across program management tools, ensuring records accurately reflect grant status, grantee activity, and program milestones at all times.
Identify gaps in existing systems and proactively propose and implement improvements as the portfolio grows.
Anticipate coordination needs in advance rather than reactively, building shared timelines and clear handoffs with internal partners.
Represent program requirements clearly to functional leads, and bring functional constraints back to program teams with workable solutions.
Support the onboarding of Fellows, ensuring they have what they need to contribute quickly.
Contribute to a standardized onboarding processes — orientation materials, system access guides, role-specific checklists — that reduce ramp time and create a consistent experience across programs.
Surge Support & Program Delivery
Provide direct, hands-on support to programs during high-stakes moments, including new cohort launches, leadership transitions, and new program starts.
During surge periods, step into a coordination role: managing task lists, tracking timelines, running point on stakeholder communications, and keeping deliverables on track.
Serve as a reliable, high-trust resource for program leads and fellows who need additional capacity or guidance, without creating dependency.
Adapt quickly to the specific needs of each program — surge support looks different across contexts, and this role requires both versatility and strong judgment about where effort is most needed.
Track grant deliverables, subgrant milestones, and reporting obligations across the full program portfolio, working in close partnership with the Grants Manager.
Flag patterns across the portfolio — recurring delays, capacity gaps, common grantee questions — that warrant systemic attention.
General Program Delivery Support
Draft and edit a range of program-facing materials, including tutorials, guides on systems, playbooks, etc.
Partner directly with the Director of Program Delivery on field-shaping special projects and surge capacity needs as they arise.
Take on discrete, high-priority workstreams that require a capable generalist — research, process design, stakeholder coordination, or materials development — with the judgment to deliver with minimal oversight.
Serve as a thought partner on program design and portfolio strategy questions, contributing an operational perspective to decisions that are often made at the strategic level.
What Success Looks Like
You’ve built and improved systems. Program staff rely on your Airtable configurations, templates, and lifecycle frameworks because they're accurate, intuitive, and consistently maintained.
Nothing falls through the cracks. You track grant deliverables, subgrant milestones, and reporting deadlines with precision, and you surface risks before they become problems.
Surge moments go smoothly. When programs hit critical junctures, your involvement provides stability. You are eager to jump in and provide low-ego, high-impact support on a broad range of projects.
Internal partners know what to expect. Finance, Comms, and Operations teams describe working with you as smooth and well-coordinated.
