About the International Student Resource Center
The International Student Resource Center is a first-of-its-kind, philanthropically funded organization dedicated to helping international students and scholars navigate the complex and often rapidly changing landscape of U.S. immigration laws, regulations, and policies. Its mission is to ensure that the more than one million international undergraduate students, graduate students, and researchers in the United States have access to clear, accurate, and timely information that supports their academic success and helps them understand pathways to contribute their skills and expertise to the U.S. workforce.

Job Description
The International Student Resource Center (ISRC) is seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Immigration Coordinator to join our team. In this part-time (20 hours / week), fully remote position, you will serve as a key resource for international students and scholars navigating U.S. immigration requirements, developing and maintaining immigration-related content, and supporting outreach efforts across our digital platforms.
Role and Responsibilities
Content development on non-immigrant academic and work visas, visa status, immigration regulations, SEVIS, and compliance requirements
Assist in managing our virtual Help Desk and responding to questions pertaining to F-1 and J-1 statuses, and SEVIS-related inquiries. Respond to student/scholar inquiries regarding immigration benefits, travel, employment authorization, and program extensions.
Track inquiry trends and contribute to internal reporting that informs programming and resource development
Develop and update web content and resources related to immigration policies and regulations
Assist with social media outreach efforts to communicate important immigration updates and deadlines to the international student community
Collaborate with organizational partners, faculty, and staff to support the growth, impact and visibility of the ISRC
Stay current on changes to U.S. immigration laws and policies, including SEVP regulations and policy, USCIS, and Department of State regulations, and translate them into guidance
Key Qualifications
Required:
3–5 years of experience as a Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO)
Strong working knowledge of U.S. immigration system, including SEVIS, F-1, and J-1 visa regulations
Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply complex U.S. immigration regulations to real-world student scenarios
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to translate complex immigration concepts into clear, accessible guidance for a global audience
Experience with web content development and social media management for outreach and communications
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage time effectively
Commitment to supporting equitable access to accurate immigration information for international students
Preferred:
Experience as a PDSO and / or RO working in a higher education or international student services setting
Familiarity with immigration compliance software and student information systems

Position Type: Part-time (20 hours/week)
Work Location: Fully remote from within the United States.
Compensation: $35 - $40k, part-time (20 hours per week); competitive, and commensurate with experience
