A brighter future for all through science, technology, and innovation

Our mission is to fuel a 21st century renaissance by increasing the ambition of philanthropists, scientists, and innovators.

We do this by advising philanthropists, surfacing breakthrough ideas, and incubating ambitious initiatives.

Our aim is to activate a virtuous circle of increasing ambition and impact between philanthropists and innovators: by identifying frontier experts both in science and in new ways of solving problems; by tapping into the growing number of emerging philanthropists; and by building multi-sector initiatives that can harness the power of philanthropy, markets, and governments.

What We Do

Provide Strategic Advice

We partner with new, emerging, and current philanthropists interested in building ambitious initiatives. Despite its immense potential, science and technology philanthropy is complex and time-intensive. We focus on reducing the barriers to science philanthropy by identifying systemic bottlenecks; providing access to experts to evaluate specific ideas; and facilitating partnerships across philanthropy, government, and industry that yield outsized results.

Surface Breakthrough Ideas

We help scientists, technologists, and innovators set and meet more ambitious goals. We build networks and maintain active relationships with frontier experts across science and technology. We push them to identify breakthrough field strategies that pair technical insights with the right levers for greatest impact: from coordinated research programs and the use of prizes and market-shaping mechanisms, to policy entrepreneurship.

Incubate Ambitious Initiatives

We design, launch, and implement novel and ambitious philanthropic programs and funds. With more than three decades of experience in government and philanthropy building moonshots that have transformed fields, we provide the infrastructure needed to design and operate such efforts: recruiting and supporting the right program-leads; building a core of committed donors; sourcing and evaluating awardees; and cultivating an ecosystem of partners across sectors who act as force multipliers.
